We hope everyone enjoyed their holiday break and had a great first week back to classes & rehearsals at CPAC.

CLASSES IN SESSION

Classes ARE in session on Monday, January 19 (Martin Luther King Jr Day) & Monday, February 16 (President’s Day). Our next break at CPAC is Spring Break. CPAC will be closed March 21 – March 29, 2026. Classes resume Monday, March 30.

COMPETITION SHOWCASE PERFORMANCE WEEKEND

Save the date and see our award-winning Competition teams perform at the CPAC Theatre on Friday, March 13, and Saturday, March 14. All styles and ages will perform each day. Watch for more details to follow in February!

INCLEMENT WEATHER POLICIES

The Winter months are upon us, and that brings the possibility of severe weather and cancelled classes.  We do NOT automatically cancel classes when Columbia Public Schools do.  We try to make our decisions about cancellations by 2:00pm for weekday classes. We will send out an EMAIL to everyone when classes are cancelled. We will also post any updates to Facebook (CPAC – Columbia Performing Arts Centre) and Instagram (Columbiaperformingartscentre)

Make sure your calendars are marked!

• Last week of classes: May 4 – May 7.
• Dress Rehearsal week: May 11 – May 14.
• Spring Recitals: May 15 – 17.

All account balances must be paid in full BEFORE Recital tickets may be purchased. Ticket sale dates will be published in our April newsletter.

ATTENDANCE FOR PERFORMING CLASSES IN SPRING RECITAL

Students who acquire more than 3 absences (per class) from February 2 through May 7 may not be allowed to participate in the Spring Recital Performances; weather-related absences and illness do not count as one of the three. All students are required to attend Dress Rehearsal week of May 11 – 14, 2026. Dress rehearsal details will be announced in April.
