Welcome back, Dancers! We hope you had an amazing first week back at CPAC! See below updates around competition season kick-off, upcoming holidays, snow day makeup date, competition showcase performance weekend, inclement weather policies, spring recital reminders, attendance, and account balances. 

CPAC COMPETITION SEASON BEGINS

Please join us in wishing our Ensemble team all the best in their first team competition at Radix in Kansas City January 26 – January 28. Follow this link to watch them live that weekend – https://live.radixdance.com/. 

CLASSES IN SESSION

Classes ARE in session on Monday, January 15 (Martin Luther King Jr Day) & Monday, February 19, 2024 (President’s Day).  Our next break at CPAC is Spring Break. CPAC will be closed March 23 – March 31, 2024.  Classes resume Monday, April 1. 

MONDAY, JANUARY 8 SNOW DAY MAKEUP CLASS 

We will make up all Monday Classes ONLY (no rehearsals) on Friday, February 2. Classes will be in session that evening at the same time as your normal Monday class schedule. Collective will have an adjusted rehearsal schedule to accommodate the Snow Day Make Up Classes on Friday, February 2, details TBA. 

COMPETITION SHOWCASE: APRIL 12 & 13, 2024 

Save the date and come see our award-winning Competition teams perform at the CPAC Theatre on Friday, April 12, and Saturday, April 13!  All styles and ages will perform each day. More details will be provided in the near future. 

INCLEMENT WEATHER POLICIES

The Winter months are upon us and that brings the possibility of severe weather and cancelled classes.  We do NOT automatically cancel classes when Columbia Public Schools does.  We try to make our decisions about cancellations by 1:00pm for weekday classes. We will send out EMAIL to everyone when classes are cancelled. We will also post any updates to Facebook (CPAC – Columbia Performing Arts Centre) and Instagram (Columbiaperformingartscentre)

SPRING RECITAL REMINDERS

• Please make sure your calendars are marked!
• Last week of classes: May 6 – May 9.  
• Dress Rehearsal week: May 13 – May 16. 
• Spring Recitals: May 17 – 19.

All account balances must be paid in full BEFORE Recital tickets may be purchased. Ticket sale dates will be published in our March newsletter. 

ATTENDANCE FOR PERFORMING CLASSES IN SPRING RECITAL

Students who acquire more than 3 absences (per class) from February 5 through May 9 may not be allowed to participate in the Spring Performances, weather related absences and illness do not count as one of the three. All students are required to attend Dress Rehearsal week of May 13 – 16, 2024. Dress rehearsal details will be announced after spring break. 

ACCOUNT BALANCES DUE IN FULL BY APRIL 1ST

All account balances are due in full by April 1st. 10% monthly finance charges continue for unpaid tuition for recreational class balances. Invoices for all recreational students are sent on the 15th of each month.
