Curriculum

Dance is an integral part of their lives, bringing them unmatched joy and contentment. At CPAC, we are dedicated to bringing the gift of dance to the community. We have committed ourselves to maintaining reasonable pricing, making dance classes attainable for everyone. Below you will find a complete list of our classes with pricing and schedules.


  • Toddlers (age 2)

    This 30 minute weekly pre-ballet class is a great introduction to dance for toddlers.  It helps young dancers use their imagination while developing basic motor skills and memory in a classroom environment.  Student do NOT perform in Recitals.  Dancers must be 2 years old and class size is generally a maximum of 15.  Dancers must wear black leotard and pink footless tights.  No shoes are required.
  • Movement for Children (Age 3)

    This 45 minute weekly pre-ballet class is a great introduction to dance for preschoolers.  It helps young dancers use their imagination while developing basic motor skills and memory in a classroom environment.  Students perform in both Holiday and Spring Recitals.  Dancers must be 3 years old and toilet trained by October 1st.  Class size is generally a maximum of 15.  Dancers must wear black leotard, pink tights, and pink ballet shoes.
  • Dance

    • Dance I (Ages 4 & 5) - This 60 minute weekly combination class of both Ballet and Tap helps young dancers continue to build their dance education.  Students perform in both Holiday and Spring Recitals.  They perform a ballet routine at one recital and a tap routine at the other recital.  Dancers must be 4 years old by October 1st.  Class size is generally a maximum of 15.  Dancers must wear black leotard, pink tights, pink ballet shoes, and black patent tap shoes.
    • Dance II (Ages 5 & 6) - This 60 minute weekly combination class of both Ballet and Tap helps young dancers continue to build their dance education with an emphasis on counting music.  Students perform in both Holiday and Spring Recitals.  They perform a ballet routine at one recital and a tap routine at the other recital.  Dancers must be 5 years old by October 1st.  Class size is generally a maximum of 15.  Dancers must wear black leotard, pink tights, pink ballet shoes, and black patent tap shoes.
    • Dance III (Ages 6 & 7) - This 60 minute weekly combination class of both Ballet and Tap helps young dancers continue to build their dance education with an emphasis on counting music and an introduction to basic Jazz steps.  Students perform in both Holiday and Spring Recitals.  They perform a ballet routine at one recital and a tap routine at the other recital.  Dancers must be 6 years old by October 1st.  Class size is generally a maximum of 15.  Dancers must wear black leotard, pink tights, pink ballet shoes, and black patent tap shoes.
  • Intro Levels (Ages 7-8)

    Intro level classes are offered in Ballet, Tap, and Jazz.  Students are typically between the ages of 7 and 8.  No prior dance experience is required for these classes and class sizes are capped between 15 and 17 students.  Intro level classes perform at the Spring Recital only.
    •  Ballet – This weekly 60 minute class provides the technical foundation for all other forms of dance including posture, lines, placement, terminology, and movement.  Dancers must wear black leotard, pink seamed tights, and pink leather ballet shoes with hair secured in a bun.
    • Jazz – This weekly 60 minute class includes faster movement incorporating elements of ballet and dance basics set to popular music.  Dancers may wear comfortable yet form- fitting clothing and dance barefoot.  No jeans or short shorts may be worn.
    • Tap – This weekly 45 minute class blends a combination of rhythm, coordination, and movement.  Dancers may wear comfortable, yet form-fitting clothing.  No jeans.  Tap shoes are required (oxford style – no character shoes).
  • Ballet

    Ballet is the foundation for all other forms of dance.  Classes are offered for ages 7 and up in a variety of levels.  Level 1 ballet classes meet for 60 minutes one time per week, levels 2 and above meet for 90 minutes two times per week.  Dancers wear black leotard, pink seamed tights, pink leather ballet shoes, and hair secured in a bun.  Ballet students perform in the Spring Recital only.  Each level follows a syllabus that is designed to be progressive and help students focus on how to execute the steps correctly.  Development of the student is geared at their own pace to what they can handle physically as well as mentally. Our advanced level Ballet classes feature a live piano accompanist.
  • Jazz

    Classes are offered weekly for ages 7 and up in a variety of levels.  Jazz involves faster movement incorporating elements of ballet and dance basics set to popular music.  Dancers may wear comfortable yet form- fitting clothing and dance barefoot.  No jeans or short shorts may be worn.  Students perform in the Spring Recital Only.
  • Tap

    Classes are offered weekly for ages 7 and up in a variety of levels.  Tap is mostly rhythm-based with a blend of Broadway technique.  Dancers may wear comfortable, yet form-fitting clothing.  No jeans.  Tap shoes are required (oxford style – no character shoes).  Students perform in the Spring Recital Only.
  • Hip Hop

    Classes are offered weekly for ages 7 and up in a variety of levels.  Hip Hop is a fun, creative style of dance incorporating street style, free form movement and isolations set to hip hop and current popular music.  Comfortable clothing and tennis shoes are required.  Students perform in the Spring Recital Only.
