It’s hard to believe we are already wrapping up our 28th season at CPAC. This time of year is both exciting and fast-paced as we prepare for Spring Recital and celebrate all that our dancers have accomplished.

Please review the important reminders below as we head into our final weeks.

SPRING RECITAL TICKETS

• Recital ticket sales will open to all families on Monday, May 4, at 5:00 PM. 
• Family pre-sale codes will expire at 4:00 PM on Monday, May 4. 

FINAL WEEK OF CLASSES

• The last day of classes for the season is Thursday, May 7.

DRESS REHEARSAL & RECITAL PREPARATION
Please check your email for important details regarding:

• Dress Rehearsal Week logistics (May 11–14) arriving in your inbox on Friday, May 8 
• Recreational class photo information and order forms
• Spring Recital flower preorders

Staying up to date on these communications will ensure a smooth and enjoyable recital experience.

LOST & FOUND / LOCKER CLEAN OUT

• All Lost & Found items will be donated following the final day of Dress Rehearsals. 
• West bathroom lockers must be cleaned out by Thursday, May 7.

SUMMER SESSION ENROLLMENT

• We are still accepting enrollment for our June Summer Session, running June 2 – June 24.

This is a great opportunity to keep dancers engaged and progressing between seasons.

2026–2027 SEASON INFORMATION

• All recreational dancers will receive their class recommendations the week of May 18.

At that time, we will also share full details and next steps for enrollment for the 2026–2027 season.

Please review the information below carefully as we prepare for our competition team auditions, June summer enrollment, and Spring Recital.

Registration Deadline: Monday, April 6 at 9:00 PM

Audition Dates:

• Friday, April 10 – MiniTroop
• Saturday, April 11 & Sunday, April 12 – Ensemble
• Saturday, April 11 – Troupe

All account balances must be paid in full to:

• Receive your Spring Recital ticket code. (Spring Recital ticket communication will be shared the week of April 6)
• Participate in the 2026–2027 Competition Team auditions. 

Join us for summer dancing from June 2 to June 24! We are offering a fun, engaging 4-week session for dancers ages 2–9.

Priority Enrollment for Current Families:

• Opens: Sunday, April 5 at 5:30 PM
• Closes: Friday, April 10 at 5:30 PM
• Spots are limited and expected to fill quickly.
• Review the enrollment email sent out on March 30 for additional details. 

As we approach Spring Recital, consistent attendance is essential. Students with more than three absences per class between now and May 7 may not be eligible to participate in Spring Recital performances (illness and weather-related absences are excluded).

Dress Rehearsal Week: May 11–14

Detailed dress rehearsal information will be distributed in classes the week of April 6 and will be available at our front desk. 

We are also pleased to welcome back SilverBox Photographers, who will be on-site during dress rehearsal week. Additional details will be shared soon.

All tickets will be sold online again this year, with further details to follow the week of April 6. 

Initial Ticket Sales (Family Code Required):

• Opens: Monday, April 13 at 5:00 PM
• Closes: Monday, May 4 at 4:00 PM
• Limit: 4 tickets per performing family, per performance
• Price: $20 per ticket (includes processing fee)

Each family will receive a unique ticket code via email from noreply@jackrabbittech.com no later than Sunday, April 12. (Please check your inbox and junk folder between April 6 – 12.)

General Ticket Sales:

• All unused tickets and remaining inventory will be released online for sales beginning Monday, May 4 at 5:00 PM, until sold out!

2026 Competition Showcase – Tickets On Sale Now! 

Our Competition Teams will present their Annual Competition Showcase:

• Friday, March 13 at 7:00 PM
• Saturday, March 14 at 1:00 PM and 7:00 PM

This performance features our Ensemble, Troupe, MiniTroop, and Collective teams and is a wonderful opportunity to see the work they have been preparing all season.

STUDIO UPDATES

Open Curtain Week: March 9–12

Parents are welcome to observe recreational classes during this week.

• Studios 1, 2, and 3: Curtains will be open for viewing
• Studios 5–6 (East Wing): Classes displayed on TV monitors
• Studio 4: Parents may come upstairs
• Competition classes and rehearsals remain closed to observation.

Bring a Friend Week: March 16–19

Students in the following classes may bring one friend to participate in class:

• Movement for Children (Ages 3–4)
• Dance I (Ages 4–5)
• Dance II (Ages 5–6)
• Dance III (Ages 6–7)
• Intro Levels – Ballet, Tap, Jazz (Ages 6–9)

Friends should be close in age and wear comfortable clothing. No dance experience or special shoes are required.

TUITION & ACCOUNT REMINDERS

• Invoices are emailed on the 5th of each month.
• All balances must be current by close of March.

CPAC COMPETITION SEASON BEGINS!

Please join us in wishing all our CPAC competition dancers all the best this month. Our Ensemble team will compete at New York City Dance Alliance and Press Play, and our Troupe & MiniTroop teams will kick off their season at Showstopper! Huge congrats to our incredible faculty, competition staff, and our costume shop for all their hard work to get our dancers ready for their season! CHAKA, WERK, LOVE!

REMINDER: CLASSES IN SESSION

Classes ARE in session on Monday, February 16 (President’s Day). Our next break at CPAC is Spring Break. CPAC will be closed March 21 – March 29, 2026. Classes resume Monday, March 30.

MONDAY, JANUARY 26 SNOW DAY MAKEUP CLASS

We will make up all Monday-only classes on Friday, February 20, at your regularly scheduled Monday class time. Please note: The Collective competition team will be receiving a revised schedule for that weekend, and our Ensemble Makeup Ballet class already scheduled for that day will be rescheduled to April. Details to follow soon to both teams with regards to the changes due to our makeup Snow Day classes to be held Friday, February 20, for all Monday classes.

COMPETITION SHOWCASE PERFORMANCE WEEKEND: MARCH 13 & 14, 2026

Save the date and come see our award-winning Competition teams perform at the CPAC Theatre on Friday, March 13, and Saturday, March 14. All styles and ages will perform each day. Watch for more details to follow later this month!

Please ensure your current account balance is up to date. CPAC invoices are emailed on the 5th of each month. You can check your balance anytime via your CPAC app.

All students are required to attend Dress Rehearsal the week of May 11 – 14, 2026. Dress rehearsal details will be announced after spring break.

INCLEMENT WEATHER POLICIES

The Winter months are upon us, and that brings the possibility of severe weather and cancelled classes.  We do NOT automatically cancel classes when Columbia Public Schools do.  We try to make our decisions about cancellations by 2:00pm for weekday classes. We will send out an EMAIL to everyone when classes are cancelled. We will also post any updates to Facebook (CPAC – Columbia Performing Arts Centre) and Instagram (Columbiaperformingartscentre)
