SPRING RECITAL COSTUME FEES DUE DECEMBER 1ST

2019 Spring Recital costume fees have been posted to all accounts. 

At least one costume fee PER CHILD must be paid on or before December 1st in order to ensure your child’s participation in the May 2019 performances. Please login to your online account to make a payment, stop by the front desk, or call our office at 441-1818 between 3-9 pm Monday through Thursday to make a payment. 

If you are declining recital participation, we must receive written notice at cpac@cpac-dance.com no later than December 1st to remove the costume fees charged. The Spring Recital performance schedule will be announced in November.

OPEN CURTAIN WEEK: OCTOBER 22ND-26TH

Parents are welcome to observe all classes the week of October 22nd-26th.  Instructors will open all curtains for viewing in Studios 1, 2, and 3.  Classes in the East Wing (studios 5-8) are always available for observation on the lobby monitors.  Competition rehearsals are NOT open for observation.

HALLOWEEN

Classes ARE in session on Wednesday, October 31st if anyone plans to attend.

Dancers may wear their Halloween costumes to class the week of October 29th!  Just make sure it is something they can dance in.  IF your ballet class meets twice a week on Monday/Wednesday, only wear your costume on Wednesday (regular attire on Monday).  IF your ballet class meets twice a week on Tuesday/Thursday, only wear your costume on Thursday (regular attire on Tuesday).

TODDLER REGISTRATION- WINTER SESSION

Registration for NEW students interested in the Toddlers class will be available beginning Monday, November 12th at noon! For students wanting to enroll in the January – May 2019 session, there will be a registration link on the Schedule page of our website. A $50 deposit is required at the time of registration to secure your enrollment. 

Returning Toddler students MUST register again for the Winter semester! Returning students may register beginning Tuesday, November 6th at noon. Registration will be via the parent portal of our website. Please make sure your login and password work, and send any issues to cpac@cpac-dance.com. A $50 deposit is required at the time of registration to secure your enrollment. 

Classes are available on Tuesdays at 11:45 a.m., Wednesdays at 5:15 p.m., and Fridays at 5:15 p.m. with a maximum of 10 students per class. Each class meets 1 time per week and is 30 minutes in length. The 16 week session begins the week of January 7th and concludes May 10th. Tuition is $145 for the session. Those who pay their tuition in full by January 11th will receive a 20% discount! Email us at cpac@cpac-dance.com for more information. 

HOLIDAY RECITALS

In order to celebrate our youngest dancers and the holiday season, we will be having our Holiday Recitals in December for our Movement for Children, Dance I, Dance II, and Dance III classes. Please visit our Holiday Recital page for more details. (Toddler classes do NOT perform.)

  • We will have four “shows” the week of December 3rd-6th.
  • Your dancer will NOT have their regular class that week if they are performing in the Holiday show.
  • The performance takes the place of your final class for the semester. 
  • Teachers will provide more information regarding holiday costumes in November. 
  • Holiday costume fees typically range from $15-$30 depending on teacher selections. 
  • Your dancer will perform the same night of the week that they usually have class. 
  • Shows will begin at 6pm each evening and should last approximately 45 minutes to an hour. 
  • Dancers will arrive at 5:45 pm. 
  • No tickets will be necessary. 
  • You may bring your video cameras and regular cameras. 
  • No professional video will be available for purchase. 

     

MONTHLY FINANCE CHARGES

Any tuition balances remaining will incur a 10% monthly finance charge until the tuition fees are paid in full. All account balances must be paid in full by April 1st.

September 2018

CPAC GARAGE SALE – SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 15TH

Join us this Saturday from 7am-12:30pm for our multi-family garage sale! It will be held in Studio 2. Please park and enter on the WEST side of the building. All proceeds benefit the CPAC competition teams!

MONTHLY TUITION FINANCE CHARGES 

All unpaid tuition has now been increased to full price. Beginning October 1st, any tuition balances remaining will incur a 10% monthly finance charge until the tuition fees are paid in full. All account balances must be paid in full by April 1st.

LABOR DAY MAKE-UP CLASS

Classes are in session on Monday 11/19 at their usual times.  This is the makeup day for the missed classes on Labor Day.  CPAC is closed Tuesday 11/20-Friday 11/23 for Thanksgiving break.

SAFETY

The fall weather will soon be upon us and it will start to get dark earlier.  For the safety of all students, dancers should remain inside the building as they wait for their ride after class.  

PARENTAL SUPERVISION

When dancers are not in class, please remember that your children are your responsibility at all times and require your supervision.  We appreciate your attention to your dancers when they are on breaks between classes, as well as your supervision of additional siblings.  Thank you for reminding them to treat the facility and those around you with respect and appropriate behavior.

PARKING

Parents, please take extra caution in the parking lots and drive slowly, watching for those entering / exiting the facility.  Please use the North circle drive, the East drive closest to the soccer field, or the entrance/exit by Jimmy John’s to access the parking lots.  Try to avoid driving between the rear of the studio and the Veterans United building if possible.

DANCEWEAR BOUTIQUE OPENS AUGUST 15TH!

Need dancewear or shoes for classes?  Visit our Curriculum page for specifics regarding your child’s classroom attire.  We encourage you to visit the dancewear boutique in our EAST Lobby on Wednesday, August 15th and Thursday, August 16th from 3:30pm-6:30pm.  Please be prepared for long lines.  We appreciate your patience in advance.  We ask that you do not make tuition payments in person during these times to help move the dancewear lines along.

TUITION DISCOUNT DEADLINE 8/24/18

August 24, 2018: Tuition discount deadline!! Tuition paid in full by August 24th receives the 20% discount. Discounted tuition amounts are posted on accounts. Any unpaid tuition after that date will increase to full price. Beginning October 1, unpaid tuition will accrue a monthly 10% finance charge.

2018 SPRING RECITAL

Recital Tickets

Beginning Monday April 9th, families will be able to purchase 4 tickets per family for each day they perform at the WEST LOBBY location.  Tickets are $10 each and 100% of the proceeds go to local charities.

Tickets will be on sale to the general public on Monday, April 30th at the WEST LOBBY location.  We WILL sell out of most shows.  Please get your tickets early to avoid missing out on your child’s performance.

Spring Recital Information

Dress Rehearsals will be Monday, May 7th through Thursday, May 10th. Schedules are available on our Recital page.

All classes will perform the weekend of May 11th, 12th, and 13th.  We are having 5 amazing shows (Friday 7pm, Saturday 11am, Saturday 3pm, Saturday 7pm, Sunday 3pm) incorporating all levels and styles of dance.  Please visit our Recital page for the listing of which classes perform in which show.

Come see our award-winning Competition teams perform at the CPAC Theatre on Friday March 16th and Saturday March 17th! This year we will have three shows (Friday 6pm, Saturday 1pm, and Saturday 6pm) and tickets are on sale now. Evening shows will include Ensemble, Troupe, and MiniTroop. The afternoon show will include CPAC Rec and Ensemble soloists.   Don’t miss these amazing performances of dance. Current CPAC students receive a FREE ticket! Inquire at either front desk location.

MARCH 19-22: BRING A FRIEND WEEK 

Any student in Toddler, Movement, Dance 1, 2, 3 or Intro Levels is welcome to bring one friend to dance class that week.  Friends do not need dance experience or shoes.  They should be close in age to our dancers and should wear comfy clothes.  In class fun and a boutique coupon are included!

January 2018

IN SESSION: MLK & PRESIDENT’S DAY

Classes ARE in session on Monday January 15th (MLK Day) and Monday February 19th (President’s Day). CPAC will be closed March 23 through April 1 for Spring Break.  Classes resume Monday April 2nd.

INCLEMENT WEATHER POLICIES

The Winter months are upon us and that brings the possibility of severe weather and cancelled classes.  We do NOT automatically cancel classes when Columbia Public Schools does.  We try to make our decisions about cancellations by 1:00pm.  We will notify local TV stations when cancellations occur.  We will also send out EMAIL to everyone when classes are cancelled.  Make sure we have your email on file so that you don’t miss any important information.  To receive text message alerts regarding cancellations and closings, text CPACDANCE to 84483 for updates.
